Linda Gregorian began playing the violin at age 10. She attended Michigan State University and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Music/Violin Performance degree. She received her Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Evansville (IN) in 1982. She earned teaching certification from Michigan State University in 1992.In 1994 she began teaching for the 5th grade Strings program in the Okemos (MI) Public Schools. She currently serves as a teacher in the Okemos Strings/Orchestra Program. She also teaches for the Okemos Suzuki Program and has a number of violin and viola students. She is a member (since 1985) of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, playing section viola.
Linda has served as a clinician for a variety of Suzuki Workshops in Michigan and Indiana. She has also been a presenter at the Michigan Music Conference. She has taught at the Owensboro (KY) Music Camp, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp (MI), and currently teaches violin & viola at the New England Music Camp in Sidney, Maine. She has coached a number of student chamber groups through the years and some award-winning students.
Linda is married to Leon Gregorian, Director of Orchestras at Michigan State university. They have three grown children, all professional musicians, and three grandchildren.
