A native Minnesotan, Tyler Sieh completed both his bachelors and graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with Mark Jackobs and Lynne Ramsey. He has been a member of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra viola section since 2015.
Tyler is a veteran of the United States Air Force and has performed throughout the Washington DC region as a member of the United States Air Force Strings where he performed for many dignitaries including two U.S. presidents and His Holiness the Dalai Lama Tyler has served as associate principal of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Omaha Symphony, principal viola of the Missouri Symphony Orchestra and has had the opportunity to perform with the orchestras across the nation including Minnesota, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Toledo, Delaware and the Minnesota Opera.
An active educator, Tyler has previously served on faculty at Augustana University, Minnesota
State University-Mankato, the International Music Camp and Missouri’s Summer Music
Tyler has appeared as soloist with the United States Air Force Symphony Orchestra, the South
Dakota Symphony, the Mankato Symphony and has given his recital debut at the Kennedy
Center for the Performing Arts’ Millennium Stage. In 2018 Tyler will make his Carnegie Hall
debut as a member of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
