Once again, Jon Sirlin uses his outstanding ability with words to fully express what most of us feel and know on the inside, but cannot find a way to get out. He is the epitome of the young adult that we at NEMC have the great fortune to know and love each and every summer. Thank you, Jon!

Just a reminder that we are in need of an event like this in the Rochester, NY area. Lots of great potential NEMC-ers in this area and plenty of Alum in prominent musical positions. NEMC reps could stay with us, 15 min. from downtown in Pittsford. I'd be happy to help arrange all this in any way I can. Thanks! 585-203-1237

honestly depending on how you look it could be considered any of them, but I do not feel like being so arrogant as to say it is the instrument I play, so I am going to say it is a violin, because that is what I first saw when I looked at it. But to be honest it could be any of the four depending on who is looking at it.

It is of course a cello. As Mr. Platte taught us all very well to be able to not only play and recognize a cello when we see it, but also to know that the cello is the best instrument in the Universe (yes, even better than the ones on Star Wars). So, naturally, why would any land feature portray a violin (for those who are "special"), a viola (excuse to make second-violinists feel better), or a bass (for people to big to play any of the other instruments)? The answer, of course, which I am sure if you attended NEMC you have already deduced, is there is no reason any land feature would portray anything BUT the cello.
