2017 One-Year Faculty Appointments Announced

NEMC is proud to announce the following special, one-year appointments to the faculty!

Lisabeth Miller (Chamber Choir) is a former camper who is now Director of Music at Old Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church where she directs the choir, con- ducts rehearsals and performances, oversees a profes- sional concert series and teaches the Sunday School music program. She is on the faculty of Naugatuck Valley Community College where she teaches voice lessons and beginning voice class. She also teaches Non-Western Music and Introduction to Music His- tory at the University of Connecticut.

Steve Erickson (Piano) is the pianist with the USAF Band’s Airmen of Note. He has collaborated with Phil Woods, Doc Severinson, Al Jarreau, New York Voices, and has performed on 10 Airmen of Note recordings. A gifted composer, he has produced 22 arrangements for the Air Force Band, including 7 Studio Orchestra arrangements backing guest artist perfor- mances and TV broadcasts, and 15 Jazz Ensemble arrange- ments supporting projects such as the National Christmas Tree Lighting, the Airmen of Note’s Jazz Heritage series, and nu- merous performance tours. He was Director of Jazz Studies at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO where he taught piano, Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Pedagogy, Jazz History and Music Appreciation.
